It is with immense satisfaction that the Hemerson Casado’s Institute announces and invites everyone to the III International Symposium of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, held annually by the institution in person. However, we are experiencing an atypical moment in our scenario. The Coronavirus pandemic changed our whole routine and to maintain the 2021 calendar, the institute will hold the event online.
In this perspective, the Organizing Committee of the event has been working incessantly to choose renowned professionals for the composition of the scientific grid of the symposium, providing the interaction of the participants in presentations and speeches with professionals of excellence in the multiprofessional field, in the period from 22 to 24 April 2021.
We weave the ideal scenario to discuss around our central theme: ALS, a neurodegenerative and progressive disease, without cure and without drug treatment. A rare, disabling disease, neglected by medicine and science, as it is not a profitable disease, underfunded by the government, because for health managers, it is not worth investing. Our meeting will be virtual, on a platform of high quality and innovation as well as the greatest advances in Medicine, mixing the needs of the face-to-face event with the modernity of an Online Meeting.
The success of any event also depends on its participants. So once again I take this opportunity to invite you to join us in this great event. Participate in this search for better professional qualification, contributing to the quality of life of people with ALS and their caregivers.
